Patton Poem by Andrew Martin 2010

Patton Poem

In the sea of green grass

Lay the remains of those brave dead

With crosses and stars scattered across

Serving as a constant reminder

For the ultimate sacrifice they gave for us

Even in death they follow their leader

As he watches over them like he did in life

The landscape is well-kept

To honor those who had fallen in valor

Eisenhower’s message shall live-on forever

Stone maps show what they had done

Along with those who cannot be found

A chapel to help them pass to the other side
